Why i come to wellspring

I love being able to have discussion after the meditation. When we first attended I remember one of the members raising her hand and asking the minister what exactly she meant by the word resurrection as it wasn’t making sense to her. The minister asked her what she thought the resurrection meant, and from there we had an amazing discussion about this one word that holds so many different meanings for people

Blue Sock Sunday

I love the way Naomi, our minister involves the children in our community. They have an important place in worship during children’s church.

I like having a small church. When I was in Washington D.C. at a Progressive Christian conference we kept hearing that we should never underestimate the power of a small church. God is in the connections and relationships. Wellspring has provided me with so many meaningful conversations and connections. We meet once a week and it is my touchstone to balance and remembering who I am because I am not invisible.

The Christmas Posada

The Christmas Posada

Every year we look forward to the Posada and the intergenerational sharing of the Christmas Story. We journey. We all dress up. We take turns interpreting the scenes in the Gospel of Luke and Matthew. We celebrate in song. We celebrate the gift of our children at Wellspring.

Wellspring is the place I have found my authentic voice to continue to discover meaning on my faith journey. I am deeply grateful for the respectful conversations as we bring our experiences and questions to the community. We truly learn from one another.

I have grown up in Wellspring. I would not be the person I am without the experiences I have been given in our travel as well as being a part of a community of caring adults.
