During our time at the Cathedral of St. Paul we have learned many things about ourselves and about worship. Transitioning from sunlight to candle light worship time was a big adjustment. We learned to draw our energy from the divine spark within us as we worshipped and lit our candles. The hospitality, generosity and flexibility from the people of St. Paul have blessed us many times over.
After using the Thoreau Center for our 20th Worship Celebration this fall we began to explore the possibilities of moving back to a morning worship time. After conversations with the owners of the Thoreau Center we began our first Sunday of worship at our new location on November 30 at 10:00 a.m. 3500 Kingman Blvd. DSM.
We have come full circle as a community. We are returning to a space we rented in our first 5 years of Wellspring. We have grown in number and depth and the Thoreau Center has experienced a transition also. The current owners have refinished the beautiful hardware floors, painted and remodeled the inside. Our new location is easy to find, just off the 31st street exit on I235. Travel north to Kingman Blvd. turn west to 35th street. There is plenty of parking on Kingman Blvd, and on the east side of 35th street on Sundays.
Come and visit us if you are curious, interested or inquiring about participating in a progressive Christian community of faith.
